    Connect an AI assistant

    This portfolio exposes an MCP server, so an AI assistant can answer questions about Eric's profile, projects, clients, and contact details. Paste the server address below into your assistant of choice to connect it.

    MCP server address

    This is the public address of the portfolio's MCP server. It is not a secret.

    Connect your assistant

    ChatGPT

    1. Open ChatGPT's connector settings and enable Developer mode (note the risk notice shown there). If Developer mode is unavailable, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
    2. Open the New plugin dialog.
    3. Paste "Carco UX Portfolio" as the name and the server address above as the URL.
    4. Review the details, check "I understand and want to continue" (ChatGPT shows this warning for every custom MCP server), then click Create.
    5. Enable the app from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use it.

    Claude

    1. Open the custom connector dialog — the name and server address are prefilled.
    2. Review the details and click Add.
    3. If the prefilled form doesn't open, open Claude's Connectors page, choose "Add custom connector", then name it and paste the server address above.
    4. Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use it.

    Claude Code

    1. Run this one-line install command in a terminal — that's the whole setup:

    1. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm the connection. Claude Code asks you to sign in from that menu only if the app protects its tools.
    2. Ask Claude Code to use the app.

    Other MCP clients

    1. Open the client's MCP server or custom connector settings.
    2. Create a remote MCP server connection.
    3. Name the connection and paste the server address above.
    4. Finish any sign-in or authorization prompts.
    5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use the app.

    Refresh after the app changes

    A connected assistant remembers the tool list from when it connected. After this app ships changes, refresh the connection so your assistant picks up the latest tools.

    ChatGPT

    1. Open ChatGPT's Plugins page and select this app.
    2. Scroll down to "Information" and click Refresh.
    3. ChatGPT can't update an existing app's URL — if it changed, delete the app from Plugins and repeat the connect steps above with the latest address.
    4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.

    Claude

    1. Open the Connectors page and select this connector.
    2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
    3. Claude can't update an existing connector's URL — if it changed, remove the connector and repeat the connect steps above with the latest address.
    4. Ask Claude to use the app.

    Claude Code

    1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the app's latest tools when it connects.
    2. If the address changed, run claude mcp remove carco-ux-portfolio, then run the install command again with the latest address.
    3. Ask Claude Code to use the app.

    Other MCP clients

    1. Open the client's MCP server or connector settings.
    2. Select the connection you created for this app.
    3. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
    4. If the address changed, paste the latest one from above.
    5. Start a new chat or session and ask the assistant to use the app.
